Using ChatGPT in the Math Classroom

I published a post on Larry Ferlazzo’s Classroom Q&A blog today on using ChatGPT in the math classroom.

In the post, I argued that artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT share many of the same benefits and pitfalls as other technology. ChatGPT also has several unique features that make it a powerful tool for teaching math. It is a useful starting point for writing lessons. Students can use ChatGPT to critique solutions by analyzing its efficiency or clarity. To use ChatGPT effectively, you have to ask the right questions. This takes a lot of persistence and patience.
