Bobson Wong,
Executive Director (bwong@dfn.org)
Bobson became executive director of DFN in 1997. He has written
on Internet access around the world and China's Internet for several
publications, including Human Rights in China, the Media Institute
of Southern Africa, and Internet Freedom. The conferences he has
presneted at include the Global Congress on Community Networking;
Computers, Freedom and Privacy; and a hearing of the U.S. Congressional-Executive
Committe on China. His other nonprofit work includes serving on
the advisory board of the Princeton Association of New York City
and serving as vice-chair of the Technology Advisory Committee
of Princeton University's Alumni Council. Before joining DFN,
Bobson worked as an information manager at Ogilvy & Mather,
a Web site designer, a graphic designer, and an editor. He graduated
from the Bronx High School of Science, Princeton University (B.A.,
history), and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (M.A., history).
